Kirsten's 1st Birthday!

Kirsten celebrated her 1st bday today! She had a party at our condo's function hall, complete with a play area for all of us!

In fact i rocked so hard mummy was afraid i would somersault!

In a bid to make me take a longer nap, Mummy and Daddy decided to take me swimming to tire me out. Ooh what a treat considering the weather's been terrible lately!

The day of the playmate, crazy chicken party and snow

Kirsten came over early in the morning today to play with me! Her parents wanted to do some drilling in their house so they sent her over to escape from the noise and dust.

I tried to teach her how to count...

But then again, my counting skills are still abit wonky, which explains her disinterest! Hehe...

I gave her all my toys...I was a good host okie?!

Soon Aunty Yiling came to fetch her back and we had to get ready to go out for another party with Mummy and Daddy's Hall friends again. They cant seem to get enough of one another!

This time we had chicken wings, chicken meat balls, half a roasted chicken, chicken nuggets, teriyaki chicken, thai basil chicken - which led to the crazy uncles and aunties chanting "chicken party, chicken party"! I thought it sounded very funny so i started to join in the chant too!

Muahaha! Ive escaped with a seaweed wrapped chicken!

After lunch, the adults indulged in early chinese new year activities - gambling!

While Mummy and I had a jamming session with Mummy's old band mates

They think im good enough to be the new lead singer!

After an extremely short nap, we headed off to Ma Ma's house for steamboat. I was too stuffed with chicken to eat any of the steamboat! Since it was early, the adults decided to bring us kids to Tanglin Mall to watch the last snow show of the year.

Welcoming 2007 the Leong way!

Mummy and Daddy are way past their prime so how do old fogeys usher in the New Year? By counting down in their bedroom in their pajamas of course! Nevertheless, for the Leongs, this is by no means a boring event!
It was a rare treat for me too, to stay up past my bedtime and snack on biscuits at 12 midnite!

Post Xmas Shopping

Daddy was on half day leave today and we went out to spend some moolah cos there were so many post xmas sales going on! 1st pit stop was takashimaya - kids' department of course!

This is my new friend, hands off everyone else! hehe...

We had a great time, it's really rare for Daddy to be out with us on a weekday and im simply over the moon that he's around to play with me!

We proceeded to Kara's house to fetch her and her parents, cos everyone wanted to go take a look at the new IKEA store. Im always estatic to see Kara and we immediately proceeded to take the store apart.

We tried out the beds on display, ala Goldilocks...

Actually it was I who instigated Kara to climb up with me...hehe...

We entertained the customers by acting like clowns

We rocked on the rocking bench together

And even hijacked a little trolley!

All in all, it was a fun day out and I got to wreak havoc with my good friend too! Doesnt that make any kids' day?! Daddy take more leave and keep me company more often too yah?!

My special xmas gifts

I would like to thank a few special people who gave me the nicest gifts this xmas!

Ist up is Por Por and Gong Gong who gave me this electronic piano! or "pee-no-no" as i like to call it! Although i cant play proper tunes on it yet, i love to listen and dance when Mummy plays!

Next is YiYi who bought me a nice pair of tweety shoes in my favourite color - red. I dont have any pics of it cos they were part of those lost from Daddy's camera. Nevertheless, i love you YiYi!

Daddy and Mummy got me this Leapfrog fridge farm that can sing in English and French. I love the silly songs, especially when i make a mutant animal! Muahaha...

Daddy's boss gave me a huge activity table filled with Play Dough and tools. I can spend hours cutting, pinching and rolling the dough and making lots of shapes, animals and food! Mummy's really happy cos she doesnt need to entertain me while im at it!

There is one glitch though...im terrified of the monkey head that can "sprout" hair. Somehow i think it's painful to have hair growing out of your head so fast! Ugh...

Thanks also to Uncle Raymond and Aunty Yiling for the mega blocks farm set. It can also keep me occupied for a long time as i build tall towers and play pretend with the little animals and people!

And last but not least to Yee Por who gave me this educational toy that can teach me counting, alphabets, phonics, time; has games and puzzles and nice music!

Crazy party #6

25th December 2006
Finally the annual Crazy Party with Mummy and Daddy's Hall friends. Last year i was fast asleep on a small comforter right in the middle of the ruckus at Uncle Tingzhi's house. This year i can finally hold my own amidst all the outrageous Uncles and Aunties!!

As usual the spread was ooh so yummy, with everyone bringing a special dish to our house...think Mummy and Daddy have put on a couple of pounds over this festive period! And i have never had so many days of flavor filled food in succession! Mummy's worried that i will no longer take to her bland food once these crazy parties are over...

After the pigging out, the crazy party got into full swing. Every year, Mummy and Daddy's friends have this wacky gift exchange system, whereby everyone takes a number and when your number is called, you can either take a gift from the pool or snatch someone else's gift. It was hilarious watching the grownups act like kids snatching each others' presents, complete with much dramatic whining and wheedling!

Uncle Ah Poot never has any affinity with the presents that he wants; they always get snatched from his hands year after year! Poor Uncle Ah Poot!!

I soon got bored with watching the grownups' antics, so i entertained myself with a couple of salt and pepper shakers.

Ahhh finally they paid me some attention by giving me a present of my own. I love it! Mummy has noticed that i simply lurve stuff toys...but in case u get the wrong idea and think that i am deprived of them, please think otherwise! Cos my cot is simply bursting from the number of stuffed toys that I have!! On hindsight, I think id much rather prefer cash, thank you! hehe...

And here i am, sharing my favourite snack of strawberries with Rae Ann! She doesnt seem to like it very much though, no matter...i can finish them all by myself!

It was almost midnight by the time everyone left. It was yet another memorable party for me! And to emphasize how tired we were after all the xmas partying, here is an unglam pic of Daddy and me, taken by Mummy this time! Sigh...why cant u two leave me out of it...

Crazy parties #4 and #5

24th December 2006

Today was a hectic day. 1st up was a lunch party at Grand Uncle Allan's house. It was a blast and i had fun playing with Por Por, Gong Gong, Yee Por and Yi Yi while opening all my presents, chomping down a fabulous spread of food and entertaining the whole extended family with my antics all at the same time.

Sadly all the pictures we had of this party were in Daddy's camera and they are now floating around somewhere in Photo Purgatory cos Mummy's computer crashed as she was uploading them.Boohooooooo.....

We headed off to MaMa's house in the evening and despite only having a half hour nap the whole afternoon, I was in high spirits and terrific humor. Nothing could get me down, i was giddy on adrenaline!!

The fun started after dinner when everyone gathered to exchange pressies!

Even little Santas get pressies okie?! Hehe...

And im simply estatic over my gifts!

And then it was time for Xiang Xiang Kor Kor and I to show off our musical talents. We were in great form with him playing the melody and me dancing to the music!

Crazy Party #3

Our long awaited party has finally arrived! The day dawned bright and sunny; perfect weather for the terrific party planned by Aunty Evon for all the April babes!

8 adults maniacally jumping around in front of us, trying to catch our attention!

All of us gathered at Kara's granny's house and boy we were in for a good time! While the adults had a sumptious spread of curry chicken, bee hoon and numerous other sinful little bites, we went wild with glee, playing with Kara and her cousins' countless toys.

Biscuit buffet for the 3 amigos as usual...and who better to look for but Aunty Stephy?

Aunty Evon had prepared a little pool specially for all of us and we really had a splashing good time. I was delighted to be having water play and it was all the more fun to have my little friends wreak havoc with me!

Halfway through the melee, our extremely bright parents finally made the all-important decision to remove our near exploding diapers. Yippee! We're finally free of their water logged constraints!

Butt naked in the water! muahaha...

After a quick shower, it was art and craft time! The adults had fun sticking stickers all over our faces while we were trying our darnest to create perfect masterpieces...like real! hehe...

Oh excuse me for a moment, ive got a booger up my nose...

I had such a good time that i was all knackered out after the party. I fell asleep as soon as i was carted off into the car! When i awoke, i was raring to get my hands on all the pressies from the April aunties and uncles...
