The Tanglin Tree

Mummy and Daddy brought us for brunch at this quaint place today - The Tanglin Tree. They served healthy organic stuff and even had a playhouse outside for kids like us!

The playhouse was complete with swings, a huge slide and lots of nooks and crannies that we could run in and out of.

The shady swing under the playhouse

Actually it was rather only me who enjoyed scampering all over the playhouse. My little wussy brother was terrified of even going near the sand!

Mummy trying to get him on the swing...check out his totally reluctant face!

No matter, i had loads of fun!

Exploring all the different parts of the house

Then Mummy carried Baby up to join me at the 2nd level of the house.

Look how he reacted!!

Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! Get me outta here!!!

Every diner within a 10m radius of my hysterical brother immediately whipped around to gawk at him. Most had incredulous looks that read "Why does that mum insist on putting that kid in the playground when he is obviously not enjoying himself?"

Lemme in!! Lemme in!!

And so, to save herself from further embarassment, Mummy had to cart him back inside the restaurant.

That didnt affect me one bit though...i continued my rampage around the playground alone.

Dont ever ever bring me outside again, ok??

After awhile, he decided to venture outside again. But of course, not on the sandy area, just on the wooden boardwalk outside the restaurant, where there were some kiddy toys.

See! Im happy now! Dont bring me to the sandy area OK!!?

Mummy: You'll be the death of me! haha...

And here i am, refuelling after all that running about outside!

Mummy had to change my shorts, cos it was all black from all the sliding around!

Mummy: Terelle is really a fearless babe, she's always game to try out new things. In the time she was in the playground, she made friends with 3 angmoh kids and was happily playing catching with them until she was called inside. I wonder when Baby will become braver and start venturing out of his comfort zone?

Staying active in Sept!

We got up to all sorts of exciting activities during the September one week break.

No holiday is complete without a visit to an indoor playground, so here we are at Polliwogs again!

Wheeeee! Ive figured out how to get down the slide all by myself!

Shhhhh im hiding...waiting to jump out at baby

The highlight this time was the huge outdoor bouncy castle. It was not inflated the last time we were here cos it was raining then. We couldnt wait to get our hands (and feet and body and butts) on it!

Can u see how tiny i am compared to the huge pirate ship?

Kara and i loved climbing up

and literally throwing ourselves off at the top, tumbling headlong down the slide, squealing and screaming with glee

Here's baby, the scardey cat, afraid of going down the tall slide

WUSS!!

Hot and sweaty after all our exertions

Mummy: My little cassanova trying to solicit for the attention of a cherubic ang moh girl

Mummy also took us to Katong Mall where they had 2 enormous bouncy castles in the atrium. She only had to pay $10 for us to have unlimited play!
We were more than happy to be left there while she indulged in some retail therapy at Parkway Parade nearby.

Wah!!! Kids' nirvana!!!

Yoohoo! Can anyone spot me?

Mummy: This clip is hilarious. Terelle was merrily riding the unicorn until she fell off and ended up with a wedgie

Terelle really cracked me up with all her madcap antics

Phew! Lemme take a break before i go back in to jump!

Hai yak hai yak! Lemme pit my kungfu skills against Pikachu!

Listening intently to a big jie jie telling stories

Baby Bone always getting tripped by us, hehe!

We also brought out our trusty little skates and had some blading action on one of the days of the hols!

We're becoming quite pro at this now!

Cheers to a fun filled and exciting sept break!

Teacher's Day Outing

Today is Teachers' Day and Jie Jie is on holiday, so Mummy decided to take us to Polliwogs to check it out.

I dove straight into the ball pit

My favourite part of any playground!

Jie Jie unleashed and rolling all over the place

and making friends with all the ang moh kids!

I was throughly enjoying myself but alas, Mummy said i had a make up class to go to

I had fun at class nontheless, and even chatted up this cute little girl! (who happened to be the daughter of mummy's childhood friend)

Today's lesson is about frogs

And here i am trying to imitate one!

Ian's 4th Birthday Party

Ian celebrated his 4th birthday at Downtown East's Explorer kids this year!

And the party was even bigger and better! Cos in addition to the usual magician and balloon sculptor, there was the huge playground waiting for us!
Woohoo!

Us kids had our very own platter full of junk food!

Baby Bone looking lost cos these are not the kind of food Mummy usually lets us eat

Quick eat up bodoh! Before Mummy sees u!

The magician thrilling all of us to no end!

And then it was time to cut the cake!

Mummy and Daddy didnt dare have a piece of it cos just b4 Ian blew his candles out, the kid next to him unleashed a sneeze full of germs onto it!

Eeeeeeyeeewwwww!

After gorging ourselves silly on the buffet spread, kuehs, customized chocolates, sweets, jelly and treats from Ice Cream chefs, we were let loose into the playground.

Mummy: This was the customized choc bar. It was a nice touch but i thought it was a bit excessive though...

Baby Bone playing with his balloon swords

While i was having a merry time scampering around in the playscape

Me making a rare appearance to take a pic with baby!

After the party disbanded, Daddy and Mummy brought us for a ride on the kiddy rides at the public area.

All aboard the train!

And then the carousel!

We really enjoyed ourselves that day!

Oh almost forgot to mention, on top of the bursting-at-the-seams goody bags which we received, Ian also generously gave each of his little guests a die cast metal "Bob the builder" character vehicle!

Baby got orange Dizzy while i took green Roly

We loved the 2 vehicles so much that we bugged Daddy to get more for us. He had to go to a few Toys' R Us to search for them cos apparently these toys arent very common!

Our precious collection of Bob the Builder vehicles

We love them to bits, we can play with them for hours everyday!

Good investment, Daddy!

Playground Rampage

11 June 09

Im waiting for Jie Jie to be done with her art class so we can head to the playground!

But 1st, a spot of lunch!

Finally we entered the playground Frisk n Romp. It wasnt very big but being our 1st time there, everthing was refreshing...for awhile! Hhahah...

My buddy Kara came to join us too! What fun!

Here we are whizzing down the slide for big kids

while baby could only contend himself with this teeny weeny one

as usual he headed for the ball pit and stayed there for the longest time

There were different activities being carried out every hour and while we were there, we were treated to craft making...

...a story telling session...

... and a coloring session!

(Check out baby bone and his yellow crayon!)

We soon got bored of the place so back home it was, for some much derserved rest!

12th June 09

We went to yet another playground today! This time it was Peek-a-Boo at Kallang Leisure Park. It was formerly known as Bambini Playclub, guess the changed the name to prevent conflict with Go-Go-Bambini.

Here I am, being a monkey as usual

I quickly made fast friends with this little Ang Moh boy there and we raced each other round and round the structure, to see what was the fastest time we could clock starting from the bottom till we reached the slide!

He never left my side, right until his mum called for him to go. To which he grudgingly shuffled away, all the while begging for more time to play with me

Keke...its ok...i know i have this effect on boys...

Muahahaahah!

Ugh im tired Mummy, where does Jie Jie get all her energy from?

Birthday fun at Fidgets

We were invited to my classmate, Bridget's, birthday party at Fidgets today. We were late for the cake cutting session cos i woke up late, but we were in time for some non stop action on the Playscape!

Dont anyone stop me!!

Mummy even brought baby bone into the Playscape to join me

Yoohoo, come look for me baby!!

Errr Daddy, i think ure a bit oversized for this...
