Sydney once again!

13 August 07 (Mon)

Left for Sydney on the 8pm flight. Trip felt so different from the last time when I could still fit into a bassinet! Moreover i was still nursing a cold then and feeling miserable, but this time i was all fit and full of energy and totally excited at taking a plane once again!

Mummy actually let me have my very own cone, since we were on holiday

Lucky me! Yummy...

During the 7hr flight, i watched all the cartoons and fell into a nice slumber midway through. When i awoke, we had already landed. It was about 630am in Sydney = 430am back home and it was freezing cold! Mummy told me it was 6 degrees outside so she had no choice but to take along a little "souvenir" from the plane to keep warm - the blankets!

14th August 07 (Tues)

Brrrrr...Daddy quick get us into a cab!!

By the time we checked into the hotel, unpacked and washed up, it was around 9am Sydney time. Poor Daddy had to go straight into the office despite having had only 3 hrs plus of sleep. Mummy and I, however, had the luxury of taking a nice 5hr long nap, all the way till 2pm! Heehee...

Mummy brought me out to the malls in the city after we woke, to forage for food. She bought some chinese noodles which tasted like fried hair. After a few half hearted mouthfuls, she gave up feeding me those atrocious things, especially after i proclaimed that they were "Yucky noodles, Mummy!"

Mummy bought some nice new clothes for DiDi and me, she can never resist when we are in Australia, cos the kids' stuff there are really cute! Soon after, we headed back to the hotel cos Uncle Jason and Aunty Miranda had arranged to take us out for dinner that nite.

Dinner was at a restaurant called Bungalow 8 at King's Street Wharf and the adults had an All-You-Can-Eat mussel buffet. However, I was totally exhausted and didnt let them have a nice time during dinner, so no photos were taken regretfully. What was worse, i think the restaurant staff werent used to having kids over for dinner, so they didnt know how to put the baby chair together. In the end, because it was not fixed properly, when i pushed against the high chair's table, i ended up falling to the floor, flat on my bum. That was the last straw...Daddy had to cut short his feast of mussels and pacify me. Poor little ol me fell asleep in Daddy's arms all the way back to the hotel.

Once back, i woke up and was raring to go again, since it was only about 8pm Singapore time! After giving me a shower, Mummy ordered room service for me cos i hardly had anything to eat the whole day, save for some icky noodles, a packet of milk and some miserable fries.

Me tucking into my feast...wah so many foods to choose from!

Happy and satisfied now!

15th August 07 (Wed)

Mummy and I woke up at 11am Sydney time today, we're still on Singapore time! After going through my normal morning routines, we were off to hit the malls! Of cos, 1st stop was to settle our rumbling tummies. BUT...mummy made the mistake of ordering Asian food again.

Verdict: Bleah...yucks yucky yucks!

So mummy and i abandoned the food and started goofing around. This is my maiden attempt at taking photos, with mummy as my model!

Not bad right?! At least i got mummy in most of the pics!

Lemme imitate that monkey face, Mummy!

Ahh finally something edible and nice! Yoghurt with fresh berries!

Where are we off to next, Mummy?

Mummy didnt make any purchases today, we just scoured the shops and enjoyed each others' company. Daddy had a business dinner so Mummy packed MacDonalds' back to the room for dinner. She didnt seem to force me to eat as much as she does at home! I wonder why??

We wanted to check out the so called "heated" swimming pool in the hotel but when we went down, the pool was freezing! So we trooped back upstairs and mummy filled up the bathtub in our room; i still had a splashing good time!

okie mummy im ready, wat surprise do u have in store for me??

Wahahaha! This is much better than the icy cold, murky pool downstairs!

Savoring my nuggets for dinner after a shiok bath

16th August 07 (Thurs)

It was raining when we woke up today but brave Mummy still decided to venture out, partly because she figured if we were to be holed up in the room the whole day, she will go crazy from trying to entertain me! So we bundled up warmly and trooped off to the train station to catch a train to Bondi Junction.

I was an absolute angel on the train, obeying all mummy's instructions to hold the bars, sit down when the train was moving and not to throw my biscuit wrapper on the floor. This prompted an old man who was seated beside us to comment to mummy that i was such a good kid and that Mummy has done well teaching me. See mummy? i give u face when we are on foreign soil! Keke...

wah puppies! Can i have one mummy?

We had a leisurely lunch and stroll around Bondi Junction and today, Mummy bought more clothes for Didi, me and Daddy from Target, which was having a big sale. She was lamenting to Daddy that she couldnt buy anything for herself during this trip, cos she cant fit into anything now! Lucky for us then, more moolah to spend on us!

We returned to the hotel at around 7pm and Daddy packed authentic Malaysian food for dinner. This time i wallopped a whole bowl of fried rice and hokkein mee, hey im a true blue Asian gal who cant live wothout her noodles okie? Too much ang moh food just doesnt cut it for me!!

17th August 07 (Fri)

Yippee! Daddy is only working till 1pm today so he promised to accompany us to the Sydney Aquarium in the afternoon! In the meantime, Mummy took me to the Harbor Bridge and Opera House in the morning, to have a nice walk and an ice cream snack! I remember the last time i was here with Mummy, i was just a wee babe in her sling who couldnt even walk! Look at me now!

Imitating the pigeons

Munching on my jelly beans while taunting the pigeons and seagulls

And since it was a cool, sunny day, mummy bought a chocolatey gelato for us to share!

I ate the bulk of it though, cos Mummy always feels pukey after a sugar laden snack.

Hey not my fault okie Mummy! Didi hates sugar!! So im doing you both a favor!

Brrrr..feeling a bit cold after my ice cream...

So ill just warm up by prancing around!

Dont break my reverie, im having a quiet reflective moment by the Harbor Bridge

See wat a perfect model i am?!

Oops sorry, im hungry again!

Im having a great time with you outdoors, Mummy! I love it here!

All too soon, Daddy met up with us and we headed off to catch the ferry to Darling Harbor. By then i had been out all morning, running around with Mummy and was pretty zonked out.

Half hearted attempt to pose with my nuggets (again?!)

All of us aboard the ferry!

Can i go to sleep now Mummy?!

Finally, daddy and mummy tucked me into my stroller and let me drift off to lala land, so they could enjoy some time together while enjoying the scenery on the harbor. It was a really scenic ferry ride and they were wondering why we didnt give it a try the both times we were in Sydney previously.

I let mummy and daddy have a good 3 hrs of couple time to stroll around the shops at darling Harbor and have a snack together with a nice cup of coffee. When i awoke, we were at the Aquarium as promised! It was quite nice; with several breathtaking exhibits, comparable to our Underwater World back home!

Check out this huge tank in comparison to my size!

Mummy gets tired easily now..and she drags me along to take a rest!

Yay! Im free of Mummy's clutches!

Mummy and i imitating the weird looking fishes!

We were all knackered out by the end of the day so it was back to the hotel to rest for the next day, cos Uncle Jason promised to take us to visit all the factory outlets for some serious shopping!

18th August 07 (Sat)
Uncle Jason and Aunty Miranda came to fetch us at 11am and brought us to this sensational little cafe for brunch. The food was superb and everyone had a great time, including me!

I even made a new friend called Billy. He was this cute little doggie and i loved him so much i followed him around non-stop!

I had my very own Baby Cino, a delectable concoction of frothy hot chocolate with sprinkles and marshmellows! Oooooh...yummy!

This was the spread that we had, Daddy had the full Big Brekkie and mummy had succulent portobello mushrooms covered with cheese on toast. This had got to be the best meal we had in Sydney so far! Every single morsel of food was lovingly prepared and all of us wolfed down everything!

Everyone enjoying the yummy spread in the crisp, cool air!

Didnt take any more pictures at the factory outlets cos Mummy and Daddy were busy shopping and i was out cold. I slept alot on this trip cos it was so nice and cool and i loved being all tucked up in blankets on my stroller!

19th August 07 (Sun)

Today is Mummy's birthday! we had originally planned to take a leisurely stroll through The Rocks in the morning and then go for some more serious shopping at another mega mall in Chatswood but it was raining cats and dogs when we woke, so we decided to head straight for the mall.

Never did we expect the train service to be disrupted due to maintanence! This would never have happened at home! In the end my poor parents had to brave the rain and sacrifice their jackets to shelter me while we raced to catch a bus and get out of the pelting rain. After an extremely "arduous" journey, we finally made it to Chatswood Mall. I was still nice and warm and dry but Mummy and Daddy's shoes, socks and pants were all soaking wet. Poor things the both of them!

Happy birthday Mummy! Big birthday hug from me!

Nice cup of juice after yet another revolting (and expensive) lunch!

Browsing through the huge Toys R Us that had a much wider range of toys than ours back home!

I finally got a foam baseball and bat from here! Daddy couldnt find it anywhere in Spore!

Look another new friend for me!

Since it was Mummy's birthday, Uncle Jason promised to take us to a popular restaurant at Bondi beach for a feast of juicy ribs!

Waiting for our ribs to arrive...

We were not disappointed! The meat was so tender it almost melted in our mouths!

Mummy really enjoyed her dinner, cos Didi loves to eat meat!

Uncle Jason sent us back to the hotel after dinner cos we had to get up really early the next day to catch our flight. Thanks for everything Uncle Jason! We'll be back again soon, this time with DiDi too!

Eh are u getting my good side in the picture??

20th August 07 (mon)

Daddy and Mummy dragged me out of bed at 530am today, dats like 330am back home! I was an absolute angel though, didnt even fuss one little bit despite having my beauty sleep interrupted. Our flight was at 8am so we had to be at the airport at 6am.

Half awake on the airport's trolley

Soon it was time to board our plane. Im a little frequent flyer, i know how to handle my own luggage and exactly where to go!

Mummy changing me out of my unglam PJs...finally!

All snuggled up on the plane!

Im so used to flying that i never fuss at all! Daddy was surprised that there was not a single squeak from me!

Gimme my in flight entertainment and kids' grub pls!

I had a great time! More trips Daddy!!

P/s: Note from Mummy: Terelle you were an absolute angel on the trip and Mummy had a great time with you. When you are old enough to read this, Mummy wants u to know that Mummy's so proud of you for behaving so well!

Demolishing a chicken wing

This is the first time Mummy let me have a whole chicken wing to myself. And what more, i ate it with my bare hands, savouring every single morsel of meat!

It was so scrumptious that i had a second, and then a third helping...

Look Mummy, all gone! Can i have more please??

Jump and frolic on the bed of course!!

And look what our Daddies are doing? Eating as usual!!

Finally the long awaited Elmo show! All of us were entranced by the colorful sights on stage, maybe except Kara who dozed off halfway cos she was too tired without her afternoon nap.

Fun at the Water Park!

My school brought us to the Choa Chu Kang Water Park today for some splish splashing fun! Mummy couldnt go into the water with me cos she was still nursing her scalded leg, so Daddy had to take half a day leave and come along!

In the heated wave pool

On the kiddy rides

Clowning around with Daddy

And hitching a ride on my very own Daddy Dugong! heehee...

I kept asking for Kara throughout the outing, unfortunately Aunty Evon was sick so they could not come along. Kara Kara where are u?? *sob*

And the best after swim snack...

Fishballs!!

Mummy was upset that she couldnt join in the fun today, so she promised to take me here again after her leg has healed. Yippee!! I must make sure all my little friends join me then!!

Marriott Stay

okie time for some long awaited posts!

Daddy used his corporate rate to book us a stay at the Marriott, one reason is because Singapore is a really boring place and we've got no better way to spend our weekend, another reason is because my shopping crazy parents wanted to catch the late nite sales at Orchard Road.

On Saturday after my make up class, we met up with Kara and her parents to catch Shrek 3 together! This was our 1st outing to the movies and we enjoyed it immensely, after some initial hiccups where we got abit frightened by the loud sounds emanating from the screen. We settled down to watch the cartoon soon enough, only bothering our daddies at the end of the movie (during the exciting part!!) to take us to the toilet...heehee...

After a yummy chicken rice dinner, we headed back to the hotel where i konked out soon after my bath, cos i didnt take my afternoon nap. My ecstatic parents quickly proceeded to plonk me into my stroller and headed out to shop in peace!

In the executive lounge with Mummy...

...where we had unlimited snacking throughout the day!

The super soft and comfy king sized bed...my favourite!!

I love jumping on it again and again!!
