Act3 Drama performance

Kara and I attended a week long drama workshop at Act 3 during the december holidays. After many rehearsals, it all culminated in a performace specially for our family members!

Looking a little unsure at the start, as the theatre started to fill up with people

Delivering our lines with nary an expression, much to the amusement of our family

Portraying the scary Jabberwoky, hardly scary with our poker faces...haha...

We soon warmed up though, and forgot all about the audience

And becoming the true "artistes" that we are!

Totally immersed in our roles now!

It was an enjoyable and fun filled week and we were rewarded with certificates for our efforts!

Posing with Teacher Grace, our drama coach

And in true blue theatre fashion, stuffing our faces at the reception afterwards!

Daddy's Birthday

SOrry for the extremely long delay in uploading our adventures, cos we were in the midst of moving house and Mummy had no internet connection until recently.

Anyway...this was what we got up to during the "radio silence"!

Daddy's birthday was celebrated in a low key manner this year. On the actual day, Mummy collected a durian cake from an independent baker and we had a mini celebration at home. Baby Bone was already in dreamland by then so it was just the 3 of us, blowing out the candle and stuffing our faces with the cake. And it was a really yummy cake! I shall ask Mummy to order it again for future gatherings!

On Friday, all of us trooped out for an ice cream treat, as promised by our birthday boy. We headed to Udders, a mini ice cream joint next to United Square, where they had a mind boggling variety of home made ice cream!

Needless to say, i was in seventh heaven

ooh..brain freeze!

Hey Daddy, i know you're eagerly anticipating your ice cream...but could u wait for it to arrive?

Wah how could you deny me a taste of that?!

Daddy wondering if Baby Bone really looks like him

We had a good time out together as a family. Happy Birthday Daddy! Shall we celebrate all birthdays from now on with an outing for ice cream? Shall we shall we??

Baby Bone's maiden trip to KL

Thursday 30th October 2008

After a series of booboos...

(First mummy drove the car to the post office in the morning and the car got a ding when she returned, daddy was hopping mad...

Then we assumed Jetstar flew from the budget terminal. Went there only to have to scramble to Terminal 1 cos we were running late.

Then during check-in, Daddy mistakenly checked in Aunty Marilyn's work permit with the luggage, so there was some hooha at the immigration...)

we were finally on our way to KL to attend Daddy's cousin's wedding!

Err whats all that commotion about? *scratch head*

I was soooo excited to be able to fly in an aeroplane again! Could hardly contain my excitement...i was bugging Mummy over and over again that entire morning, is it time for us to leave yet!?

Sleepy baby bone...who fell asleep when the plane took off and only woke when we landed

It was a short 30min ride and pretty soon we were at the hotel.

Whoopee! Kids gone mad!

After a short rest, we headed out to this restaurant called El Cerdo where they specialised in pork dishes. The food was fantastic cos they were totally of the artery clogging variety!

That's me tucking into my sumptious dinner

Errr Mummy, Daddy are u sure the suckling pig's head can be eaten?

Friday 31st October 2008

We hit the shops bright and early today. Didnt buy much cos Mummy was on strict orders from Daddy not to spend cos she needed to pay for the damage done to the car. (mummy: boohoo...)

Now where shall we head to guys?

Refuelling at a coffee joint

Mummy with blase baby bone, as usual...
Headed back to the hotel after lunch for a BUBBLE BATH! No hotel stay is complete without a bubble bath. And this time, baby bone is old enough to join me for some bubbly fun in the tub!

Still being his nonchalant self...

Hey baby, look alive, look ALIVE!

After a nice nap, Yi Por brought us all to a seafood restaurant for dinner. And while the adults feasted, Xiang Kor Kor and I had loads of fun monkeying around!

Mummy: I love this pic!

Dats us - The inseparable cousins!

Dats me with my greasy, brown mouth after chomping down a whole bowl of Dai Look Mee (Daddy's favourite noodles), now my favourite noodles too!

Mummy: How come im not surprised?

Of cos ill never leave my brother out of the fun!

Saturday 1st November 2008

Hit the shops today again while the rest of the family headed off to Yi Por's house to watch the groom fetch his bride. We couldnt go cos Daddy and Mummy had no clothes decent enough for the event. (Daddy's booboo cos he didnt know we had to go to the bride's house in the day) The only clothes that Mummy and Daddy had were sloppy tees and berms!

I know Mummy wouldnt have minded going to the shops early just to get an outfit and then join the rest of the family at the bride's house!

Baby bone's really happy cos he just had half a cup of fresh soyabean!

I cant make up my mind...a girl cant have too many accessories rite Mummy?

Finally tired out from all his exertions

Finally evening came and it was time for the wedding dinner! All of us got dolled up to the nines and headed to the ballroom for the solemnization ceremony.

Baby Bone just before he was hustled out of the room for making too much noise

Xiang Kor Kor and I making a big mess

I was bored during the dinner, so Mummy gave me the camera and i was released to run amok within the ballroom! I became one of the photographers for the nite! These were some of the photos that i took...

Not bad huh...

Mummy and Daddy hamming it up for me

And also the ones below...

All taken by yours truly ok!

Think i should go pro soon...

Daddy and I sharing a dance together

Daddy, dont cry when u dance with me on MY wedding day okie?

It was a tiring day and us kids all hit the sack immediately after the dinner. Mummy and Daddy sneaked out for some late nite supper with Daddy's cousin. Dont think we didnt know u two sneaked out!!

Sunday 2nd November 2008

Finally it was time to head for home after an enjoyable time in KL. My only grouse was the terrible air that made me cough incessantly each time we were outdoors.

More trips more trips Daddy!!

I just cant resist bullying baby bone...muahaha...

Our long weekend

Daddy had to work over the long weekend, but that didnt stop us from having fun! (At mummy's expense of cos, it is her job to entertain us right?)

On saturday, we attended Luke's 2nd birthday party. Luke is the son of Mummy's good friend, Uncle Nicholas. So while Mummy and Uncle had a nice time catching up, i was regaling the younger kids with my bubble blowing prowess. I also had a great time playing catching with the other kids and rummaging through the treasures in our goodie bags.

Sadly, no pictures...cos Mummy was busy yakking away...

On Sunday, Mummy brought us to Aunty Winnie's house for a cupcake party with my good friends Ariana and Niki. Baby Bone had a blast playing with Ariana and her little sister Alexia's mind boggling array of toys while us big girls were busy decorating our own cupcakes with raisins, sprinkles, choc chips, frosting and cream!

Our mini cupcake workshop...who needs expensive enrichment classes? hahah

Enough fotos Mummy...can i eat my cake now???

And finally on monday, Mummy brought us to the Botanic Gardens to feed the fishes in the huge pond!

Im so happy to be outdoors!

Gong Gong's happy too...Baby bone is just his usual blase self

He stole the heart of this china lady though, who begged us to let her take a pic with him!

I guess in all his seriousness, he does have his charms after all!

Hey baby, that's not a real doughnut!!

See...he even has a serious face while playing with bubbles

I had great fun feeding the fish, with the huge bag of bread scraps sponsored by Gong Gong and Por Por

We missed you Daddy! Next time tell your boss not to make you work on a long weekend okie??
