Running the CIty

Daddy and Mummy took part in the Passion Run yesterday and today, it is our turn to Run the City!

We got up bright and early and met up with Kara at the F1 Pit Building.

I wont let u down - i can run with a cracking pace!

Here we are in action!

The run was a cinch for me!

Icy cold chocolate milk as a reward after the run - Yums!

And then it was Baby's turn to run. Here he is sweltering in the relentless heat and starting to melt down already...oops...

He's totally NOT HAPPY...

We even met Ian and Faith there!

Baby was actually supposed to run together with 2 other kiddos, who were the offspring of Mummy's old school friends. It was touted to be an exciting and entertaining 4F kids dash (4F was Mummy and her friends' secondary school class many many moons ago..hehe..) but alas, one came down with a fever at the last minute and didnt turn up, and the other clung on to his Daddy the very same way Baby did Mummy.

I guess the heat really did them in!

The miserable boys had to be carried all the way from start to finish

Look! They even adopted the same miserable pose over their mummies' shoulders!

Its the Cold Storage Kids Carry not Run!

Finally, after being passed to and fro like a baton between Mummy and Daddy, Baby "completed" his run

Congratulations Daddy and Mummy! U did it! haha...

Wah he still has the cheek to guzzle the choc milk, he didnt even exert himself!

And then Gong Gong came over to join us in soaking in some of the carnival spirit

Taking pics with each of the different mascots

Ahhh! Here he is getting into some action at last!

Refuelling with popcorn and an apple

While Baby stuffed his face with cotton candy...tsk tsk...he didnt run and now he's eating junk!

And so, till next year!
Hopefully Baby will not be so wussy then and try to run together with me!

Mini visit to Universal Studios

Due to some mistake on the part of a staff member of the USS hotline, we scored free tickets to the park after dark this weekend.

Granted they didnt cost much in the first place, all of us were still very excited to see the inside of Universal Studios!

Daddy and Mummy doing the touristy thing

I was wondering why we couldnt go on the rides...

...but it was good fun enough walking around and soaking in the atmosphere!

Daddy got us the Dino sippys. Almost everyone had one!

Baby was a little apprehensive at first, he was afraid to suck from the dino's head!

I love my dino!

We had fun browsing through the merchandise shops too

We could recognize all our favourite characters!

Ooh look who's here to visit!

By then everyone was famished so we left the park to get something to eat. Poor mummy didt feel too well by the end of the day, she felt giddy and nauseous (think it was becos of daddy's superior driving skills that makes everyone carsick...haha..)

But that prompted everyone to think that i was going to be a big sister yet again!

Hahaha no such luck!

School Performance

Our daily practices culminated in an entertaining little performance for out parents on Parents' Day in school.

Mummy couldnt really get nice pics of me cos i was standing way behind and blocked by all my classmates during the song and dance item.

Singing and dancing along to a remixed and reworded Grease hit

And to Mummy's great consternation, here i am not really doing my moves during the grand finale, but rather, monkeying around with my self proclaimed boyfriend.

(You can read more about him in Mummy's blog here)

Mummy: Watch this and cringe when ure all grown up! ;)

Super hot Sentosa!

Mummy and Daddy booked the Family Room at Siloso beach resort for us to spend the long Labor Day weekend!

What fun! We just lurrrrrve staying over in hotel rooms!

All set to go explore Resorts World

Cool respite from the sweltering heat outside

Ahhhh it's blistering hot!!

Taking refuge again in an air conditioned eatery

while Daddy and Mummy did the touristy thing

After my nap, i couldnt wait to jump into the pool! Baby missed out on all the fun cos he didnt want to leave the room at all.

He was content just to lie around on the bed! Silly baby!

After swimming and a spot of dinner, we took a leisurely stroll around the vicinity of Resorts World.

Exploring the cool statues at Festive Hotel

Daddy - the God of Gamblers?

Do we look like merlions too?

My very own little bed in the spacious room

Baby kept wanting to go back to the "big room"- he didnt want to go explore the island at all!

See what i mean?

He even refused to get out of his comfy bed the next day!

Back home he's the 1st to jump out of bed every morning!

Nice al fresco breakfast with the squirrels

I go no where without my beloved blankie!

Daddy and Jie Jie going abit loony from the heat

Arrrgh i still cant get the peace sign right!

Gong Gong and Por Por headed off to chill out at a cafe nearby

...while we went ahead on the Luge!

Im finally tall enough to go on the Skyride!

The last time we were here, i was left behind...boohoohoo...

I kept ordering Mummy to go faster on the luge - it was exhilarating!

Even Aunty Riza got in on the action

Baby kept fretting about his shoes falling off..haha..

Experienced luge riders - YEAH!

And then of course it was back to the hotel pool for one last round of daredevil sliding before we checked out!

Gong Gong loved the waterfall - he said it gave him a good massage!

Singapore Women's Weekly Shoot

We appear in this month's issue of the Singapore Women's Weekly mag!

We got roped in by Aunty Yiling to join in the photoshoot cos they needed kid models to pose with each letter of the alphabet, all the while modelling swanky clothes from Guess.

So after picking me up from school, Mummy drove us all down to the studio to meet up with Kirsten and Seth.

It was our turn pretty soon enough and my shoot was a wrap in a jiffy cos i was very co-operative, dutifully obeying the photog's commands to twist, turn, smile, sit, tilt my head, bend my legs...u get the idea.

This was the photo that was chosen to be published.

Not one of Mummy's favourites, cos she felt that i looked washed out and pasty faced. She felt that there were many other pics that showed me smiling happily and were more flattering but i guess this one was the most in line with the photog's artistic direction?

Hahahah...whatever...i was just happy to be there to hang out and play with Kirsten.

Mummy couldnt take any pics of the photoshoot itself cos she was busy trying to get Baby to cooperate with the photog. He was a little overwhelmed by all the props and the bright lights and kept running towards her, begging to be carried.

Aiyo so silly that Baby, there's nothing to be afraid of!!

The only video of me that Mummy managed to capture

In the end, Mummy came up with this brilliant idea of putting gummies on the letter W itself so that Baby would move closer to it and take the sweets.

It worked! He kept scampering over to the W over and over again to check if there were new sweets on its prongs. The drawback was that his cheeks looked chubbier cos they were stuffed full of gummies!

I think he went through an entire packet of gummies (to Mummy's great chagrin) just during that 2omin photoshoot alone!

Check out the right prong of W - it has a yellow gummy on it!

And thus wrapped up our 1st experience of appearing in a local magazine.

It wouldnt have been half as fun if Kirsten wasnt there to play with me though! Hehe
