I love mandarin!

I received this little prize from school today. It is an encouragement cos ive shown the most improvement in Mandarin!

Ma Lao Shi tells Mummy that im very helpful in class, and that whenever she is unwell and cant project her voice, ill loudly help her echo her instructions to the rest of the class.

Mummy: Im so proud of you baby! Not to be a wet blanket, but it isnt very difficult to show the most improvement when your mastery of the language was almost zero before you came to this school! Anyway keep up the good work! ;)

My birthday celebrations - Part 4

This year, us April kiddos were bestowed with a McDonalds' Party by our ever enthusiastic mummies. All of us were extremely excited in the days leading up to the event and when the actual day finally arrived, i could hardly contain my excitement!

We headed down to King Albert Park's Macs in the evening, after my requisite afternoon nap. Recharged, my spirits were buoyant and i was ready to roll!

Kara and I sharing our birthday throne

And then I had the throne all to myself!

Playing the games organized by the Macs crew

Our parents thought the games sucked but we thought they were hilarious

Devouring our very own kids' meals

What's a birthday without cake right? The Macs crew had never before thrown a party whereby ALL the kids present were celebrating their birthdays together!

Each of us had a pretty balloon bouquet to bring home

And the highlight was of course the presents!

Posing with my haul

Happy Birthday again baby, we love you!

My birthday celebrations - Part 3

5-7th April 2009

Mummy didnt have time to upload these pics but here they are now finally!

We celebrated Part 3 of my birthday at Downtown East, with a 3d2n chalet stay. Us kids had a blast! We took countless rides on the Ferris Wheel (free cos we signed up for the DeCard, which allowed unlimited entry to Wild Wild Wet and the Theme Park, and also 2 chalet stays - very worth it!)

played game after game at the arcade,

and went crazy at the indoor playground.

But the highlight of our stay was the water park. The pictures here will tell how much we enjoyed ourselves!
I was initially abit apprehensive about going into the big structure, water was splashing everywhere and you know me, I am quite the wuss when it comes to water getting on my face.

So i just stayed in the kiddy section for awhile, i call it warming up ok!

Mummy was clutching a plastic bag in her hands, the only way she could protect her hp so as to get these pics!

Eeeeek water on my face! Water on my face! AAAH!

I took ride after ride on the mini slides

Think i must have slid down a hundred times...

Baby Bone joined me at the kiddy section at the start...

He was fascinated by this fish that was spouting water

And we rode the mini slides together

...but soon my fearless baby brother, who was totally unfazed by the jets and sprays of water, hankered for a go at the main structure. He plunged straight in and was his usual blase self even when water was pouring down his face!

Lemme put on my life jacket properly

Here I go, dont hold me back!

Yeeha! Splash splash splash!

Ok what next?

Water? huh? No biggie!

Mummy: Even when he was almost totally submerged by the water when he came down the slide, he immediately got up and asked Gong Gong to go on it again! Hahha he is truly a water baby!

Seeing baby bone have so much fun on the other side, my confidence was buoyed and i decided to venture over. But not before dragging Yiyi along too!

Yiyi took me on the bigger slides this time!

Hey they are actually quite fun! And not the least bit scary!

Here i am, torturing Yiyi, making her follow me up again and again

Finally i worked up enough courage to slide down myself! I could even attempt a stunt, doing it backwards!

Hey sis wait for me! I wanna do that too!

All too soon, the sun began to set and it started to get cold. So we were all bundled up and carted off to the room where we had a nice hot shower before heading out for dinner.

Erm, where to for dinner? Dont ask me, im just a baby!

And of course, there had to be dessert after that! No birthday celebration is complete without dessert!

Yay Daddy ordered ice cream!

Thane: Lemme at that ice cream Mummy!

We were so tired out that we zonked out at 830pm that night and look what Mummy, Daddy and Yiyi got up to!

They went karaoke-ing!

Daddy's totally embarassed by this video, i wonder why?

hahahah...*evil laugh*

My 1st dental visit

April 20th 2009
Mummy freaked out after hearing about kids my age having extensive cavities that she decided to make an appointment with a dentist to have my teeth checked out. Our family is very particular about oral hygiene, so i was pretty confident the dentist would not find anything wrong with my set of pearly whites. Dont worry Mummy!

Prior to the big day, Mummy kept describing how interesting a visit to the dentist would be, getting me all hyped up and eager to experience it for myself. On the actual day, i kept asking Mummy over and over again if we were going to the dentist after school. I even told all my friends proudly that i would be visiting the dentist, i was that excited!

Here I am, all prepped in the dentist's chair

It was so fun! I was not the least bit scared

The doctor was partly responsible for my enjoyable 1st visit. She was so gentle and kept talking to me, taking my attention away from the jarring whirrs and buzzing of the dental equipment.

Checking my molars

Her verdict? I had a perfect set of teeth! No cavities and hardly any plaque at all! She heaped loads of praise on Mummy and me, saying we should keep up the good work! See Mummy, I told u, u didnt have to worry one bit!

The good doc with me, and a latex glove fish balloon!

I had such a good experience! At the reception counter, i kept bugging Mummy to bring me back the next day, prompting amused giggles from the nurses.

So can i be the poster girl for Colgate? Hehe...

Dumpling Party

17th April 2009

Mummy and Daddy wanted to relive their dumpling wrapping days in the US so they decided to invite our favourite friends, the Liews and Leongs to our place for a Dumpling Party.

Prerequisite to the party: You had to make your own dumpling before you could eat it!

Daddy demonstrating how its done

I know you're hungry but you have to cook it 1st Uncle Caleb!

Uncle Richard making "anorexic" dumplings

Us kids weren't allowed to help, cos we would obviously make a mess. So we entertained ourselves by ransacking my toy boxes!

And just enjoying each others' company!

Our Easter long weekend

We love long weekends, cos Mummy and Daddy will surely have fun activities lined up for us!

10th April
Friday was Kara's actual birthday and in line with the Easter spirit, I helped Mummy bake some pretty bunny cupcakes for her.

Arent they sweet?

Close up of a bunny clutching his stash of M & Ms

We originally planned on a picnic and rollerblading at East Coast but that idea had to be changed at the last minute cos it was raining heavily. So we met up with the Liews and Leongs at the airport for some Macs dinner.

Since the skies cleared after dinner, we headed over to Kara's house for some helter skelter action!

Look! Dont we look pro?

And then it was (cup)cake cutting time!

We're werent very interested in the cupcakes cos we were stuffed from the sweets from Kara's pinata, lovingly handmade by her cousins!

And while us kids played with all of Kara's toys, our Mummys chatted and our Daddys snuck out for a quick lan gaming session. So everyone enjoyed themselves that nite!

11th April

Its saturday Mummy! Where are we going???

Saturday afternoon was spent in anticipation of nightfall, cos Mummy and Daddy promised to take us to the Night Safari again! It was extra nice on the tram cos of the cool breeze constantly blowing after the afternoon's downpour.

We headed to our old haunt - Thomson Road for some prata after the zoo. I tried chocolate tissue prata for the 1st time. You can see how much i loved it!

Leave no morsels uneaten!!!

Unglam chocolatey mouth

12th April
It poured again on sunday and we were almost afraid we couldnt go out. Luckily the skies cleared late afternoon, making way for a balmy evening, and we headed to the Marina Barrage. What a treat that was!

Mummy's current fav pic of me

Look Mummy! I can be girly if i want to!

We looked for different creatures and shapes in Cloudland

Flew our kite...

Took nice scenic photos

And played with bubbles

When suddenly a hoard of 11 photographers descended on Baby Bone, merrily snapping pictures of him trying to catch the bubbles. 11??!! He was one bewildered baby, and a little overwhelmed by so many adults crowding his space.

Some of the photogs were v nice and offered to email their shots to Daddy. Our parents were very amused by the attention showered on clueless Baby Bone!

I wasnt so amused though...Hmph! How come no one is taking pictures of me????
