Action packed weekend

The long awaited (at least for us) school holidays have begun!

We kickstarted the hols by taking Gong Gong and Por Por out for a nice dinner at Waraku Central. Mummy had a hidden agenda for going all the way there - she wanted to check out the flea market by the Singapore river!

Doting grandparents fussing over Baby as usual

Tsk tsk...he really is the Crown Prince of the family!

I love Waraku for all their free toys

The next morning after my piano lesson, Mummy and Daddy took us to the airport for lunch. We had heard about the new Slide at T3 and wanted to check that out as well!

Baby looking intently at the huge red fan

Reading about the fan's mechanisms - Did you know it actually mimics passersbys' movements?

Do Daddy and Baby really look alike?

Prancing around at our favourite sushi joint

I took this pic of Baby - He was a very cooperative and spontaneous subject!

And then the highlight of the day - The Slide at T3!

It was really fun, pity Baby is still a bit too short to ride it.

We were rewarded with more kiddy rides for our good behavior!

Later that afternoon, Mummy went for a spa while we snoozed and when we awoke, Daddy declared that we were going out again! This time to Marina Square!

Mummy met up with us there and we caught the Doraemon show together

Doraemon fell flat on his face halfway through his song and dance routine, and had to be helped back to his feet by 6 stage members. Some of whom tried yanking him up by his open mouth, much to the amusement of the adults and the horror of the kids! Hahahha....

Sunday morning was spent playing badminton with Daddy and Mummy's cronies. Uncle Boon taught us some nifty moves, ill show all of you in future posts!

And in the afternoon while Baby snoozed, I went for my Art Boot Camp with my good friend, Chuan En.

Since the class was at Dempsey, Daddy and Mummy took the chance to try out the mouth watering offerings at House.

They were definitely not disappointed!

And thus concludes our action packed 1st weekend. Stay tuned for more!

Slaying Monsters!!

These are the 3 monsters lurking in our living room.

We have to plan our strategy for attack!

Take cover! They are spewing fire and hurling rocks!

And we ATTACK!!

Yay! All slain!

One for all and all for one! Woohooooo!!

Mummy: And this is why kids need 2 parents. I would never have thought of games like this to play with you two! Not that i fully approve of the violence though....

Journey to the West

Today, on the spur of the moment, we made a long car journey to the west to pay a visit to the Science Centre, cos Aunty Rachel told Mummy the membership was worth checking out.

And to top it all off, my friends Nadine and Nicholas joined us too! What a treat!

True enough, Mummy bought the membership, i suppose that means we can look forward to more outings to the Science Centre! You can find more info about the membership here.

It was our 1st time at the Omnimax theatre and boy were we excited! We couldnt stop chattering about how high up we were, how the dome seemed so imposing and even how there was a kind of musty smell lingering inside.

Probably becos practically no one comes to visit often! We had almost the whole theatre to ourselves, save for a handful of tourists.

At the Omnimax theatre waiting for the show "Beavers" to start

It was an entertaining movie and all of us were fascinated, especially at the parts when we seemed to be "flying" over the landscape

Dinos are always a hit with us!

Stuffing our faces with a rare MacD's lunch

By then Baby was kinda tired and starting to get cranky, so we didnt venture into the Science Centre itself to check out the exhibits.

But we still had fun tinkering around with the outdoor ones!

Pulling, twisting, cranking, pressing...

Everything seemed so interesting to my inquisitive little brother!

And to end off a fun day day out, we headed to the souvenir shop to have a look see.

Ahhhh playing and not buying again?!

We'll definitely be back for more action here at the Science Centre!

Running the CIty

Daddy and Mummy took part in the Passion Run yesterday and today, it is our turn to Run the City!

We got up bright and early and met up with Kara at the F1 Pit Building.

I wont let u down - i can run with a cracking pace!

Here we are in action!

The run was a cinch for me!

Icy cold chocolate milk as a reward after the run - Yums!

And then it was Baby's turn to run. Here he is sweltering in the relentless heat and starting to melt down already...oops...

He's totally NOT HAPPY...

We even met Ian and Faith there!

Baby was actually supposed to run together with 2 other kiddos, who were the offspring of Mummy's old school friends. It was touted to be an exciting and entertaining 4F kids dash (4F was Mummy and her friends' secondary school class many many moons ago..hehe..) but alas, one came down with a fever at the last minute and didnt turn up, and the other clung on to his Daddy the very same way Baby did Mummy.

I guess the heat really did them in!

The miserable boys had to be carried all the way from start to finish

Look! They even adopted the same miserable pose over their mummies' shoulders!

Its the Cold Storage Kids Carry not Run!

Finally, after being passed to and fro like a baton between Mummy and Daddy, Baby "completed" his run

Congratulations Daddy and Mummy! U did it! haha...

Wah he still has the cheek to guzzle the choc milk, he didnt even exert himself!

And then Gong Gong came over to join us in soaking in some of the carnival spirit

Taking pics with each of the different mascots

Ahhh! Here he is getting into some action at last!

Refuelling with popcorn and an apple

While Baby stuffed his face with cotton candy...tsk tsk...he didnt run and now he's eating junk!

And so, till next year!
Hopefully Baby will not be so wussy then and try to run together with me!

Mini visit to Universal Studios

Due to some mistake on the part of a staff member of the USS hotline, we scored free tickets to the park after dark this weekend.

Granted they didnt cost much in the first place, all of us were still very excited to see the inside of Universal Studios!

Daddy and Mummy doing the touristy thing

I was wondering why we couldnt go on the rides...

...but it was good fun enough walking around and soaking in the atmosphere!

Daddy got us the Dino sippys. Almost everyone had one!

Baby was a little apprehensive at first, he was afraid to suck from the dino's head!

I love my dino!

We had fun browsing through the merchandise shops too

We could recognize all our favourite characters!

Ooh look who's here to visit!

By then everyone was famished so we left the park to get something to eat. Poor mummy didt feel too well by the end of the day, she felt giddy and nauseous (think it was becos of daddy's superior driving skills that makes everyone carsick...haha..)

But that prompted everyone to think that i was going to be a big sister yet again!

Hahaha no such luck!
